Hopscotch Labs House Rules

Congratulations! Coming to Hopscotch Labs is the first step in balancing your work and family life!

At Hopscotch, our mission is to change the narrative around working parents, providing the space and resources for families to thrive emotionally, mentally, and physically. Our community can only function if we all work towards that vision. That being said:

We kindly ask you to follow the Hopscotch House Rules while onsite to ensure all families have a wonderful and safe experience.

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Hopscotch Labs staff are there to guide and support, but ultimately you are responsible for your children. Hopscotch Labs is not lawfully responsible for the supervision of children.

Keep zooms and phone calls at a respectable volume in the workspace.

We are an open workspace, and while we are working on creating private spaces for longer meetings and calls, currently we ask for adults to keep calls to a 10-minute maximum. Please be respectful of others working around you and be considerate of your volume level while on calls or chatting with others.

Socks only in the playspace at all times.

Please remove shoes before entering the play area. If you do not have socks, you can purchase a pair from our staff for $1.50.

No food, drinks, or chewing gum in the playspace.

Please enjoy all refreshments in the workspace.

No personal property in the play area.

We know kids love their lovies and personal toys, but Hopscotch Labs cannot be held liable for any loss or damage to personal property. We will have a cubby space for personal items, or please leave with an adult in the workspace.

Please do not run in the play area. 

Families who are unwell, or who have been unwell, refrain from visiting Hopscotch Labs for 48 hours.

In the unlikely event of an accident or injury occurring, please immediately report the incident to Hopscotch Labs staff.

Upon leaving the premises, please ensure that all Hopscotch Labs property is left behind.

No weapons, alcohol, or smoking (including e-cigarettes).

Hopscotch Labs has a zero-tolerance policy for Work & Play and Open-Play sessions.

Cancellation and Refund Policies

Drop-ins:

Drop-in sessions can be reserved in advance and canceled up to 48 hours ahead of time with 100% refund. Canceling within the 48 hour block will result in a 25% refund. Missed sessions will not be refunded. Exceptions for outstanding circumstances are completely at the discretion of the owners.

Drop-in sessions may be transferred to a different day up to 24 hours in advance.

Memberships:

Membership sessions can be reserved in advance and canceled up to 24 hours in advance with the return of session to the session bank. Missed classes will not be refunded or exchanged for additional sessions. Exceptions for outstanding circumstances are completely at the discretion of the owners.

Unused membership sessions do not roll over to the following month.
